ABOUT
I’m EmilyÂ
Â
Having lived in the jungles of Indonesia for almost 20 years, I've been deeply influenced by the local culture, mysticism, and the easygoing barefoot lifestyle. I arrived in my early 20s, captivated by Eastern wisdom and already immersed in the practice of Yoga.
I come from a family of explorers, artists, and writers; my parents conceived me while listening to the Grateful Dead's "Scarlet Begonia's," a song that resonates with the idea that light can be found in unexpected places.
In my late teens, I delved into spirituality, noticing profound changes in my body, breath, and awareness through Yoga. Relocating to Santa Barbara, California, I balanced three jobs and full-time university studies, dedicating hours to asana, meditation, and teachings on Eastern philosophy. The inner quietude inspired my subsequent move to Indonesia.
I settled in Bali just before the thriving Yoga Barn and Bali Spirit Festival were established, where I taught Yoga and managed programming for Bali Spirit Fest.
Founding High Vibe Yoga, I began hosting successful yoga retreats and 200-hour trainings both in Bali and internationally. This success fueled my curiosity about women’s physiology, psychology, and spirituality, leading to the creation of Women's SelfCare and Women's Circles.
Recognizing Yoga's liberating potential for sex, death, and wealth, I initiated discussions and meditations, evolving into The Yoga of Sex, Death & Wealth training.
The pandemic ushered in a personal renaissance, followed by the sovereign birth of my daughter, marking my initiation into motherhood.Â
The most noticeable transformation since 2020 has been a radical shift in my awareness to step out of drama and into self-responsibility. And to support others in doing the same.Â
Outside of my professional life, I love the simple life... being with my little family, quality time with friends, singing, dancing freely, reading everything, watching heartfelt movies, cooking from the farm, and road trips.
I'm deeply grateful for the influence of the late Sally Kempton, Tara Judelle, Andrea Boni, Kamini Desai, Uma Dinsmore Tuli, Mark Whitwell, and Layla Martin. My work has bee inspired by my time with each of them.
Looking ahead, I'm keen to share my insights through my courses, both in person and online, as well as 1:1 mentoring.
In this season of my life, my main priority is being with my family. Occasionally, I am open to being a guest on podcasts, seminars, and courses that align.
With gratitude,
Emily Kuser
